Having such a long neck could really be a pain - fortunately, Giraffes have some pretty amazing features in their design. First, the Giraffe’s heart has to work hard to pump blood all the way up its neck to reach the brain, but when a Giraffe stoops down to drink, all that blood should just rush to its head. Instead, the Giraffe has valves that close when it lowers its head, keeping the blood flow minimal.
These treetop-loving Giraffes would love to be part of a mini Africa diorama or scene. They’re also useful for DIY animal projects or decorations.
